If you don’t know about Aberdeen Restaurant Week (ARW) yet, where have you been?!
This fantastic foodie week has been an initiative held by Aberdeen Inspired and delicious, local Aberdeen restaurants for the past couple of years now and it’s BACK!
And as an ambassador for the event, I’m delighted to tell you about the foodie week.
As of 15th July, a plethora of restaurants and cafes around the city will be offering up some exclusive set menus for the week only.
The Menu Options
With the option of a 2-course lunch menu for £10 or a 3-course dinner for £20, it really is a brilliant time to head out and discover our local eateries at a great cost.
If those two offers don’t tickle your fancy, there are also restaurants showcasing tasting menus which are a new offering for ARW. The likes of Revolution de Cuba are offering a selection of tapas style dishes to share between 2 for £40 and Sneap, a pop-up eatery, is offering a different menu each day. And who said it was all about food? Carmelite’s tasting menu consists of a variety of alcoholic drinks menus, YES PLEASE.
The final option and one that certainly appeals to me are the events. Think unique afternoon teas at Selera Malaysia Bistro and gin tastings at the Carmelite.
So Where Can You Eat?
I’ve mentioned a few of the fantastic options already but that’s only a snapshot of the range that ARW has to offer.
Here are some of my top picks for the week:
- If you’re after seafood: Atlantis Restaurant (my first ARW experience and one I thoroughly enjoyed, read my review here)
- If you’re after Italian: Da Vinci Restaurant
- If you’re after Scottish produce: Howies Restaurant or The Braided Fig (another Restaurant I had the pleasure to review. Delicious food! You can read my review here)
- If you’re after French cuisine: Cafe Boheme
