I was recently contacted by Everything5Pounds and asked if I would like to pick out some pieces of clothing from their website so I thought it would be a good chance to find out if this website is worth you having a browse or is just another naff clothing site, selling naff clothes.
From my knowledge of this clothing site, I was aware that the items they stock are items from other clothing stores, such as out of season pieces, that are discounted to £5 per item which is really reasonable when you think about it. Think TK Maxx but even more affordable. You can potentially own a whole new outfit for a tenner!
However, I wasn’t sure if there would be pieces that I actually liked online but I was glad to discover that was not the case.
I picked out 4 items altogether. The first two I’ll be mentioning now and the others will be included in Part 2.
I’m a sucker for a 3/4 length sleeved top and so when I spotted this navy blue one, I instantly added it to my basket. At one point in my school days, my whole wardrobe was navy but now I’m not actually sure I own one navy piece so it felt nostalgic to be wearing this top. The gorgeous pattern of the white and brown spots, almost animal print like, provide a lovely detail while the ruching at the front makes it incredibly flattering as you can draw it as tight or as loose as you feel best.
I paired this top with these striking, high waisted, wide leg trousers in cord, which I also found on their website. If you didn’t already know after reading this post, I love all things cord at the moment and rust orange is one of my favourite colours to wear, even if it is a more autumnal colour. I’ll happily wear jewel tones all year long. The trousers are a little bit long on me due to my petite stature but with my heeled boots, they fit amazingly. The belt keeps the trousers snug and doesn’t come loose like I find some similar belts in this style do, which makes this pair of trousers even better. Every outfit looks more polished with a belt but if the belt doesn’t stay in place or slackens constantly, I’d rather go without!
The pieces work incredibly together but would also look fabulous teamed separately, such as pairing the cord trousers with a black turtle neck jumper (it may be Spring but it’s still cold) and Converse for a much more laid back look or throwing on a pair of high waisted jeans with the navy spotted print top and a pair of heels for an instant “jeans and a nice top” vibe.
So would I Recommend Everything5Pounds?
On first impressions, I’m pleased with the items that I received, especially the trousers. I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of them and can’t wait to style them up in different ways.
But, there is still more to review so stay tuned for Part 2 coming on Friday where I will also give my final ‘is it worth it?‘ review!
