Has anyone else noticed that recently Primark have really upped their game? I know I certainly have and one item, in particular, has really being standing out as a winner in my wardrobe.
What is the item you ask?
It’s these gorgeous mustard and white, checked print trousers in a flattering tapered waist cut, from Primark of course. I saw these on the rail, next to so many other pairs of beautiful trousers may I add, and knew I just had to have them.
They are perfect for this spring season with the bright, sunshine-inspired colour palette. They remind me of daffodils and sunflowers and certainly brighten your mood while you are wearing them.
The tie belt that comes with the trousers is brilliant to cinch in your waist to make this look extra flattering. The cute wee tortoise shell button is on trend (we all love a tortoise shell button don’t we?) which helps add a little extra something to these trousers to make them seem more expensive than they really are.
At £13, these trousers are a steal and I am so bloody in love with them.
How to style
So to style I’ve teamed these beauties with this white blouse with tortoise shell button detailing down the front to really draw the look together and help the yellow checks pop.
I also picked up this clear, plastic bag with the dark mahogany handle from Primark. Plastic bags are so in season right now and I think they are so striking and unique. I’ve loved these types of bags since I took a trip to Japan almost two years ago where you could find them in almost every clothing shop but back then I wasn’t brave enough to buy one and rock it in Aberdeen where they had never been seen before so I’m SO happy that they have finally hit the U.K. The bag comes with a little drawstring cloth bag, meaning all your belongings are kept safe and not on show to the world.
And as always, I completed my look with my white, pointed boots. Honestly, if you don’t have a pair of white boots by now go and get some! They go with absolutely everything – such a staple.
I recently wrote another fashion based post, Making Moments with Matalan [AD-Gifted] – check it out.
