  • 5 Goals for the New Year | 2019

    Happy New Year, everyone!

With 2019 now underway, I thought I would share my goals for the year ahead. 2019 will hopefully be a productive year for myself and here are the 5 main activities and events I am aiming to achieve:

Goal #1 Graduate with a 2:1 in Management with Marketing

2019 will hopefully be the year I finally graduate with a BA Hons Management and Marketing.

It will have taken me 7 years by the time it comes to graduate in July to get to this point, due to taking several years out during the middle of my degree to focus on building on my work experience.  I have worked hard the past few years and hope to continue this way to finish my uni experience with a 2:1.

Goal #2 Find a graduate job in the marketing field

If I manage to meet Goal #1, the next stage will be, of course, finding a job in the big bad world. My dream job would include working in marketing – digital marketing in particular. I am aiming to try find a graduate role or career within this field.

I am also currently toying with the idea of applying to do my Masters in Digital Marketing which would fit in nicely and give me greater experience in my dream field.

Goal #3 Save up to eventually purchase a flat

Another goal that follows on is the saving up of funds and potential to secure a mortgage once I am comfortable in a full-time job role. I would love to purchase a little flat, probably in the centre of Aberdeen City, that I can use to rent out and make some extra income.

    Goal #4 Complete snowboarding lessons

Last year, I started learning how to snowboard, but I never actually got round to finishing my lessons. This is something I definitely want to complete so I can join Blair on the slopes, at home or abroad.

Goal #5 Sign up and complete a charity fundraising activity such as a 10K run

I’ve said for many years that I would love to take part in a 10K run, or similar activity, where I can raise funds for a charity that has a special place in my heart. This is the year that I plan to tick this off my bucket list and make a small difference in the world.

Well, there we go – my 5 goals for 2019! Are you goals similar or do you have different ones? I’d love to know.

Have you read my 5 Things I Learned and Achieved in 2019  post yet?
