A few weeks ago I was kindly invited to the launch of Siberia’s new BIG BAD BRUNCH menu. Unfortunately, I was unable to move plans around and had to give this event a miss, much to my disappointment, but was insanely grateful to be told that I could choose another date to come along and try the menu in next couple weeks.
So cue Sunday 19th and here we were sitting down in Siberia enjoying a lovely brunch.
The décor was industrial with wooden tables, metal cutlery tins and black legged bar stools, with the hint of greenery, which is my aesthetic to a tee, so from the get go I was in my element. I remember saying to Blair, ‘ I like those stools!’, which he then stated I had said that the previous weekend when we were there for drinks so I really must mean it. Safe to say I do not remember saying that the weekend before. One too many tequilas perhaps?
For my drink, I went for a raspberry mojito which was delicious. It was incredibly fresh with a fruity essence and had we not been in a rush, I definitely would’ve stayed for many more.
The brunch menu had a great selection of food to choose from – options for meat lovers like Blair to veggie options, as well as a small selection of main dishes such as roast dinners for those that like a traditional Sunday meal – all of which are great value for money. We opted for breakfast food since this was our first meal of the day.
Blair chose The Full Moon, which is Siberia’s full breakfast and it looked ridiculously tasty. When I asked Blair to provide some comment for this post all he replied was ‘It was f***ing brilliant’ so if that’s not enough to show how much he enjoyed it then I don’t know what will. The Full Moon came with tiger bread toast, scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, pork sausage, black pudding, grilled baby tomatoes and a side of beans. The portion was large but didn’t leave you feeling lethargic and bloated which is great.
I went for the veggie breakfast – Hungry like the Wolf Veggie, which again consisted of toast, your selection of eggs, grilled baby tomato & beans, as well as the added extra of hash browns, mushrooms and a guacamole dip. I thoroughly enjoyed this breakfast and I liked having the guacamole on the side. I’m not a huge fan of avocado but I LOVE guacamole. The guacamole and the tomatoes reminded me of being back in Mexico again which is always nice. The food tasted fresh and certainly went down a treat.
If full breakfasts aren’t your thing, there are other options such as loaded pancakes with berries and yoghurt. I’ve seen photos of this and it also looks incredible! This is one dish I will be going back to try sometime.
Overall, we really enjoyed our little afternoon of food and drinks at Siberia and we will absolutely be back to try out more of the menu soon.
