I want to start incorporating more favourites posts onto my blog. Hopefully I can make this a monthly thing but I won’t make any promises! With uni coursework deadlines and exams nearing, I’m on a tight schedule so let’s just get straight into it!
Non Matte Foundations: I’m normally a matte girl through and through, but recently I’ve really enjoyed wearing a slightly dewier foundation due to my skin being much drier than usual over the past month. My favourite right now is a mix of L’Oreal True Match with a small amount of L’Oreal Infallible 24 hour in a slightly darker shade because my True Match is a little pale on its own.
Coloured Eyeliner: I love mixing up my eye looks and I find using colourful eyeliner a great way to do this! I reviewed the NYX Vivid Brights if you fancy knowing a little more about my chosen eyeliners.
Primark Insect Bag: This baby is never off my shoulder at the moment. It’s the perfect size for a night out and even during the day to keep what I bring with me at a minimum. If you’re like me and always carry too much unnecessary items with you, get yourself a small bag like this! This one is super affordable at £7 too.
Jeepers Peepers Faux Glasses: I’m one of those people that from a young age has always loved the look of glasses and wanted a pair but also fortunate enough to have healthy eyes so I decided to pick up a clear lens pair from ASOS instead. This pair by Jeepers Peepers are exactly what I was after. At £18 too, I think they’re pretty reasonably priced. I wear them all the time (just not right now because I left them at a friend’s).
Pinafores: I’ve gone from owning zero pinafores to owning about 4 in the space of a few weeks. I’m trying to edge away from only wearing my black skinny jeans all the time and branch out into dresses & skirts and I think pinafores are a great way to do that. With the weather still being a little chilly here in Aberdeen, pinafores are great because I can layer long sleeved shirts under them for warmth.
With my Japan trip nearing, I’ve been enjoying watching a lots of Youtubers that live in Japan, such as Taylor R, Sharla in Japan and Kimdoa. I’m also a huge fan of Pixielocks and her pastel/rainbow vibes at the moment. She recently travelled to Japan so her hauls have been a firm favourite to watch.
For my first mention of a blogger in this style of post, I’m choosing my friend Karina from Karina Hearts for this. The reason not only being because she is my friend, but because I feel like she is slaying her blog! I’m proud of how well she is doing. Go show her some love!
Live Music: April was a good month for live music. On the 8th, I went to see Noel Gallaghers High Flying Carpets, which was one of the best nights out I’ve had in a long time! After the gig, we headed to a club and ended up partying with the band! So much fun.
On the 20th, my boyfriend and I took a trip to Manchester to see The Kooks at Manchester Academy. They are such a joy to watch live and I’ve definitely rediscovered my love for them. The atmosphere in the room was just something else and I now cannot wait to potentially see them again at TRNSMT festival!
And that’s my April Favourites! What have you been loving this month?
Thanks for reading,
