• If you had told me I’d be wearing animal print even a couple of …

I picked up my yellow eyeliner and knew today was the day.

I’ve had this NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner in Halo for quite some time now but have always put off wearing it. I decided this look would be perfect to brighten up a dull day like today though.

I kept the look very simple as you can see but I love the finished result. If you own any palette with warm, orange shades in it, like the Morphe 35O or Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette, you are ready to begin.

Today I opted for my trusty Morphe 35OM palette as there is far more shades in here to play around with. This is the all matte version of the palette and because I’m all about matte shades, it is perfect for me.

I started by priming my eyelids, you can use whatever works best for you. The only primer I own is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden. It’s maybe not the most affordable out there, but I’ve had mine for about a year now, I use it every day and I still have about half of the tube left!

I then took the lightest shade in the palette (1) and dusted that all over my eyelids, right up to my brow bone to set the primer and give me a good starting point. I then take shades (2) and (3) and work these into my crease as a transition.

I used the yellow/mustard shade in the palette (4) all over the my lid and then I gradually added the orange shades, (5), (6), (7) and (8), to the outer corner and into the crease, to really give me that pop of colour. Taking the last shade in the palette (9), I focused this on the outer ‘V’ of my eye to darken up the look.

Then taking the yellow eyeliner, I drew on my wing as normal. It’s as simple as that. Curl and coat your lashes with some mascara and that is your easy, sunset eye look done!

I finished my look by taking Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Leo and applied this to the outer edges of my lips, then took Jeffree Star Velour liquid Lipstick in Flamethrower and focused this on the centre of my lips. I then blended the two together to create an ombre lip.

I’m definitely going to be doing this look more regularly as it is so quick to complete, yet still adds some fun to your makeup which is something I love to do but find that it can be very time-consuming.

What do you think of yellow eyeliner? Would you give this look a go?

    Thanks for reading,

I would definitely try this look, I just need to pick up the yellow eyeliner! I’ve got the 350S and I think it would work well with that palette too.
