Gingham is a trend that I am all for and with all the high street shops bringing out such great pieces, it’s easy to find something that is right for you at an affordable price.
I remember rocking (or so I thought) my gingham leggings the last time gingham made an appearance a few years ago. I’ve decided to leave them in my wardrobe this year however and instead opted to buy myself some updated gingham items.
I found this gorgeous, frilled sleeve blouse from Miss Selfridge a few months ago. I love that I am teaming two trends in one with this blouse. The delicate frills on the sleeves gives that extra edge that I feel transforms it into a good statement piece for my wardrobe.
I coordinated this with my ripped, skinny jeans from New Look and a petite Western style belt, which was from ASOS once upon a time (I think). With black and white gingham, you can’t go wrong pairing it with black jeans.
To pull this whole look together, I chose to wear my silver, metallic loafers. Aren’t they gorgeous? And guess what, they are from Primark! So as you can guess, they are incredibly affordable. They have them in other colours too if metallic isn’t your scene. I also own the black pair and I love them. At around £8-10, they really are a bargain.
A quick, simple outfit but I think it looks really effective. I forgot to get a shot of my bag but it’s by Karl Lagerfeld. I’ve mentioned it time and time again, but you can get it here if you are interested. It’s my most worn bag for sure.
Are you into gingham this spring? Where have you been finding your must have pieces? Let me know!
