April was such a fast month. I can’t believe it is now May but that means a monthly favourites!
These are the items that I have been reaching for all month.
BECCA Jaclyn Hill Skin Perfector – Champagne Pop, £32. It’s not a surprise that this highlighter is a favourite due to the hype around it. If you’ve never heard of this, where have you been? I’ve spoken about this highlighter before so I won’t go into depth on it but if you want to read my review, check it out here. What I will say is that if you are on the hunt for a premium highlighter, this is the one.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade – £15. I have used this every single day for a few months now and I don’t know what I would do with out it. The best way to describe this product is like a gel eyeliner for your eyebrows. Using an angled brow brush such as this one from Anastasia Beverly Hills, you can create a defined brow arch and fill in any sparse spots with ease. A little goes a long way with this pomade. Like I said, I’ve used it every day for months and I have barely made a dent. It comes in a great range of colours, which I find can be lacking from other brow product lines. If like me, you are blonde but have darker eyebrows but find medium brown brow products too dark and blonde too light, I would suggest getting the pomade in Taupe.
Karl Lagerfeld Cross Over Bag – £220. This bag is a little on the pricier side but I see handbags as an investment so I don’t mind spending a little extra. Especially if I know that it will be something I get a lot of use from and will last me forever. This bag comes in black, white and a nude pink colour. I feel that in black this bag is timeless and it is perfect for any occasion, day or night. My mum will even steal it for her night outs.
New Look Heeled Boots – unfortunately these are no longer available in store, which is a real shame because these are great. I have always preferred bulky shoes so for me heeled boots are perfect to dress up an outfit when I don’t want to wear heels, which is most of the time. They have gold detailing on the heel which makes them a little different from your average heeled boot. They are surprisingly comfortable and inexpensive. If you are looking for a pair of shoes but don’t want to break the bank, I would highly recommend New Look. I’ve never had a pair of shoes I haven’t loved from there.
Garnier Micellar Water – £3.33. This micellar water has been my life saver recently. As bad as it sounds, I never really thought much about my skincare and relied solely on make-up for flawless looking skin. Every night, I would just take my make-up off with face wipes and it wasn’t until I started using micellar water that I realised just how much make-up was still on my face after using a wipe. No wonder my face never looked clear! Since using this, my face has never looked as fresh and I love it.
Blog Planner – I was kindly gifted this by Holly (Da Silvax) after her holiday in Tenerife. I’m lead to believe it translates as ‘Dare to live your own adventure’ in Spanish which was such a lovely gesture as she knew I had just started getting into blogging and wanted me to use it to plan out my posts and keep me organised while I embark on this new adventure. She’s a doll. It’s roughly A6 so is a great size to carry around with me at all times in case I have a blog idea.
Well there we have it. April has past and May will bring a whole new range of favourites. I’m excited, are you?
