Aberdeen Restaurant Week is Back!

I am trying to make more of a conscious effort to eat and drink locally in Aberdeen.

For me, it was always about ease and the price of chain restaurants and bars that drew me in, because essentially it’s cheap and cheerful and you know what you are going to get. I can drive to Union Square, park quickly and be served my food even quicker.

But with the ever-growing number of local Aberdeen eateries and realisation that I should be supporting our local produce and companies, I have decided to eat locally far more often.

And what’s great is that the majority of local restaurants do actually produce quality meals that rival the prices of chains, which is something I never realised before.

So, when I was invited to be one of a select few bloggers to take part in Aberdeen Restaurant Week 2018, I was over the moon.

Over the course of the next couple weeks, I will be reviewing three local Aberdeen restaurants and sharing my experience with you all as part of a great initiative to raise awareness of our local businesses.

Aberdeen Restaurant Week runs for the public from 3rd September until 9th September this year and will consist of a large array of restaurants and cafes in the area. You can view who is taking part over at Aberdeen Restaurant Week.

How can you get involved?

All participating restaurants will offer a lunch or dinner menu with the following price points:

Lunch – 2 Course Menu for £10

Dinner – 3 Course Menu for £20

Remember to take lots of photos and share your experiences using #comedinewithus and #ARW2018.

So affordable right?

When you arrive at your chosen restaurant, you will be offered a Bistro Bingo card. Over the week, you are welcome to dine at how ever many of the restaurants you please, and will be given a stamp each time.

If you complete a line of stamps and return to Aberdeen Inspired, you will be included in a prize draw.

What’s the prize you ask?

You will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a seat at the ‘Chefs Table’, where you will dine with the chef, learn about their kitchen, restaurant and cooking style. A real one time chance to experience something completely new.

It’s safe to say my blog will be primarily food based for the next little while, but I am 100% fine with and I hope you all are too.

Please let me know if you are going to utilise the Aberdeen Restaurant week deal and where you plan on going?

LOVE YA
