I only tend to buy magazines when they are for reading on the airplane or by the pool on holiday. So with Thailand nearing, I made a couple purchases which I am very excited about.
I bought three magazines in total; my choices being made by the make-up products that were included.
InStyle – retails at £3.99 but this issue was reduced to £2.50. This magazine came with a full sized Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner in black. On BeautyBay, this costs £12. I’ve been wanting to try the thinner Eyeko eyeliner so to receive this for free is brilliant.
It looks a lot like a black marker, which does look a little scary but I’m excited to try this nonetheless.
These eyeliner pencils seem to be very creamy and apply well on first swatch.
And of course, I also picked up Elle for £4.10 as they were giving away a sample of the new, not-yet-released Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil. Benefit’s new eyebrow range is a massive launch and the excitement around it equally matches. So I’m overwhelmed to try this product before it is released. The outer coating of the magazine was opaque so it was a lucky dip whether or not I would get my desired colour. Luckily, I managed to pick this up in Shade 2 which will be perfect to match my brows. (For comparison, I wear ‘Taupe’ in Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow).
The packaging looks quite futuristic and this is duplicated over the whole range.
Also, with Elle, you get a card for a free eyebrow wax at a Benefit counter in Debenhams. The only catch is you must purchase one full wax and then you can redeem the card on your second visit.
So for roughly £10, I received £46 worth of make-up and a generous tester of Goof Proof, how great is that?
If magazine freebies are always this good, I will have to venture out to buy them more often.
Did you buy any of these magazines? Do you like the products?
Thanks for reading,
